Located in the shadow of Edinburgh Castle, at the top of the Royal Mile in a 150-year old Victorian Reservoir, is the Scottish Capital's free to access visitor attraction - Spirit of the Tattoo - the story of The Edinburgh Military Tattoo.
Comprising an interactive exhibition, movie theatre, retail outlet and rooftop cafe restaurant, it is home to a comprehensive review of Scotland's annual spectacle of music, dance and display.
This webcam shows the exhibition, shop and cafe and can give you a year-round flavour of the Edinburgh Military Tattoo. On Tattoo evening you might just catch the squaddies getting ready, practicing or just generally waiting around in this view.
