The All England Jumping Course at Hickstead, known widely as "Hickstead" is an equestrian sport centre in West Sussex. As host to the British Grand Prix and the only Nations Cup competition in the British Isles, it is the home of British showjumping.
The course was the first permanent showground for equestrian sport in the country. Founded in 1960 by Douglas Bunn, Hickstead has come to represent more than just showjumping however, and as it recently celebrated its 50th birthday, is equally as renowned for polo, showing and dressage.
The view from this StreamdaysDIRECT camera shows streamed images of the reconstruction of the International Arena as it progresses. The ground has recently been excavated, re-laid and re-sown which has given the Showground one of, if not the best, all-weather grass arenas in the world.
