What is Streamdays 2?

Launched in July 2011, Streamdays 2 replaces our Streamdays hosting packages Direct, Relay and Truestream.

With Streamdays 2 we offer a much improved service using the latest technologies, delivering live video from standard IP cameras at up to 30 images per second to viewers across the Internet at full screen resolutions.

There is no longer a limit on the number of simultaneous webcam viewers (acceptable use policy applies), whilst browser support has been widened by using Flash and iOS compatible streaming. This means that live webcams can now be viewed on a PC, Mac or Linux platforms and also on iPhone, iPad and Android handhelds.

Neither does Streamdays 2 require an additional encoder on site. This reduces the hardware cost by at least £500 / $800 compared to the superseded Truestream service.

Using IP cameras with HD and h.264, live image quality has never been better, even in webcam locations where upload speeds are low. For Streamdays 2 the minimum bandwidth available upload requirement is just 300Kbps. With most Internet connections now providing 500Kbps available upload or more, a live streaming webcam can be installed almost anywhere.

And with the removal of frame rate and viewer limitations, Streamdays 2 has become available as one simple package for all.

To make it more affordable still, our 'One Year Payment Plan' allows you to pay for camera hardware in four quarterly installments (equal amounts - free of interest) if the equipment value is in excess of £1,000 (ex vat). Terms and conditions apply, subject to credit approval. Available in UK only.
