A huge City Screen viewable from Union Street, Glasgow. A new Glasgow landmark.
More about this webcam location:
his new landmark in the centre of Glasgow, just around the corner from the main railway station is Glasgow City Screen. A highly visible advertising platform the screen shows a new ad every 20 seconds, for 4 minutes, 7 days a week.
This webcam shows you what passers-by on Union Street see, but closer.
Glasgow City Screen is visible on Renfield Street and the junctions of Sauchiehall Street, Bath Street, West Regent Street, West George Street and St Vincent Street. A range of almost 1,000 metres.
Glasgow's compact city centre and grid system make it easy to navigate during any retail expedition, which is one of Glasgow's newest draws. The 'golden Z' of Sauchiehall Street, Buchanan Street and Argyle Street are crammed with high street favourites and shopping malls such as the ultra modern Buchanan Galleries, the busy St Enoch Centre and designer stores of Prince Square. Frasers department store meanwhile is 157 years old and still in fashion while the Argyll Arcade dates from 1828.
