Newquay Harbour is a tidal harbour and a very busy working location for fishing boats and pleasure charters. It offers a serene location for bathing and enjoying views of fishermen going about their every day business and ordinary harbour traffic.
It is also the centre for the R.N.L.I. lifeboat station which stages manoeuvres every Sunday morning, and is where the local Gig rowers launch their boats. During the summer months they are out practicing most days and there are frequent competitions arranged.
